Although there is much to do, there are some pretty basic things you can do to be safe in the outdoors. A good rule of thumb is to wear something that’s not too flimsy. Most outdoor gear is not designed to keep you alive if you fall or get hurt. For example, you can’t wear a vest or jacket made of Kevlar. The reason is that the high-density fibers of the material tend to tear.

This is a really good rule of thumb. If you are going to wear something that is not designed to keep you alive if you fall, then it probably isn’t worth your life. And if its really not worth your life, then you should take off your belt and your socks and just walk around barefoot, which is an easier way to die than to be stabbed.

I know that when I am stressed, I feel like I’m never going to be happy. I think that’s because I am constantly feeling like the rest of the team is always going to be dissatisfied with me. I am the type of person who will organize my entire home (including closets) based on what I need for vacation. Making sure that all vital supplies are in one place, even if it means putting them into a carry-on and checking out early from work so as not to miss any flights!
