My name is Lisa and I have a passion for health and wellness. After nearly 30 years of life-long learning about nutrition, I have finally arrived at my “health nut” point of view. After all, it is not an extreme or rare stance, but that of a very common one.
As you may know from my blog, I have been a health nut for many years. I have the utmost respect for the work that Dr. Seuss and his family did towards educating us on nutrition and health. It is often said that if we can’t cure a disease, we may never be able to cure a personal health problem. It is easy to see how that can be applied to health and nutrition. We don’t always have to change our diet to be healthier.
I can see how it may be difficult to change our diet, but we can learn to eat better by making healthy food a part of our daily routine. A habit that may seem easier to get into than the occasional treat, but can be difficult to maintain over time. For instance, I know that if I eat a lot of chocolate, I will get fatter and fatter, and therefor my weight will change.
That’s not the only habit that may seem easier to get into than the occasional treat. A habit that can be difficult to maintain over time, such as healthy habits, can be as hard as getting into a diet. When you’re feeling low, you can find yourself going off-key and you have to do things like go on long walks, drive to work, and do whatever you can to avoid the crowds. If the people around you are in a hurry, they are the ones being harassed by the crowds, so you can’t handle them.
This is why it is so vital to learn to be selective in what we eat. I cant remember the last time I ate a whole bag of candy or anything else that is considered “healthy”. Even something as simple as a bagel or a slice of cheese is high on the “healthy” diet totem pole, so I will do whatever it takes to avoid it.
Also, remember that we are all mortal. Just because you have a few extra friends doesn’t mean that you should take the party too seriously.
I know when I was younger I was a little more picky about what I ate. I didnt want to go to my friend’s apartment party hungry, so I would bring a few slices of cheese and some cookies to share. When I actually got to a party and my friend’s parents were there, they would always make me a salad and then we would eat it together. It was all just a way to get my mind off of food.
In real life we have friends. We don’t have family. It’s all about the friends. I know this because I’ve had friends I’d like to have for so long and then suddenly I find myself in a relationship with someone I don’t want to be in a relationship with. I know that I’m not the only one that has experienced this.
I know this because my relationship with my girlfriend is not so great right now. I dont want to be in a relationship with her. I just want to be friends. I know this because Ive always been friends with her friends and then she starts to have friends that arent my friends. I feel like Ive been the odd one out.
