At Greater Lawrence Family Health Center we’re committed to providing the best care we can for our patients by using a team approach. Dr. Jonathan P. Gartner, M.D. and Dr. James M. Lydon, M.D., are two of the primary physicians on our team. We also work with our social workers, nutritionists, and therapists to provide a broad range of care that includes all stages of the healthcare continuum.
Our patients are people who have been diagnosed with rare diseases, such as cystic fibrosis, multiple sclerosis, and sickle cell anemia. We’re especially proud of our nurses, because they are the single, most important healthcare professionals on our team. They take care of our patients and are there when they’re sick and sick of our care.
We have an onsite social worker, a nutritionist, a physical therapist, a speech pathologist, and a psychiatrist on our team. There are also many other health care professionals we have on staff as well. We are a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year clinic, and we are always open to new patients.
We really wanted cell anemia to be a very special healthcare service that was not only for our patients, but for those who have anemia as well. We could not do any of the things we do without the support of our clients and friends. We have a dedicated staff of medical assistants and nurses that are always available to answer questions, and we have many volunteers and patients who come, just like us, to the clinic to check on us and to help us with our work.
Our health center is a family clinic. Our patients have a lot of responsibility and a lot of power. This is their place to ask questions and to get answers. We are open to patients of all races, religions, and political affiliations, as long as they understand that they may be asked to leave. In fact, we do not ask them to leave, as we are always open to more.
We do have a lot of patients, but mostly we are patients, and we are just a group of patients who are in the best health care system around.
