What would happen if Luke Skywalker, the strongest Jedi in the galaxy, was taken by Darth Vader to be turned to the dark side? What if Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda were not there to train him any longer?
Would he succumb and join forces with his father or would he find a way out of this dilemma before it was too late? In the latest instalment of the Force Awakens movie we get to see how Luke’s story unfolds, and what he does in order to avoid ending up on Vader’s side. The newest film brings back characters from all previous Star Wars films including Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca and C-IIPO.
While these familiar faces are just as entertaining as they have always been, I was most impressed by one new character: Rey. Rey is a strong female protagonist who exhibits both leadership qualities and fighting skills when she needs them for her mission; this makes her an especially refreshing addition to the saga because it balances out some of the other more stereotypical male leads (such as Finn).
