BOWIE HEALTH CENTER is an independent, nonprofit organization that fights back against bullying and violence against women. Our work includes providing crisis intervention, education, and support in New York City schools, as well as helping survivors of sexual assault find help and recovery.
As much as we may agree that it’s a good idea to protect women from being harassed or assaulted in a public place, we also believe that it’s important to help survivors find help and recovery. We also believe that it’s important to ensure that all women and girls are treated fairly and with dignity. We’re often asked what our services are for, but we don’t offer any medical services. We do offer counseling, crisis intervention, and education.
We also help survivors find recovery by providing a safe space where they can share their stories and ask questions. We also help to encourage survivors to speak up and report incidents of harassment and assault.
Our services are confidential. We are a non-profit organization. We are not licensed to provide legal services. We provide support, help, and information to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. We do not offer legal representation.
